Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban are not only labelmates and one-time tour mates, they're pals as well.

Keith tells Country Countdown USA's Lon Helton that he and wife Nicole Kidman have become good friends with Dierks and his wife Cassidy and often have "playdates" with their daughters Sunday Rose and Evie at each other's homes. One time, though, it didn't work out too well for Dierks.

"The last time was actually at Dierks' place, and I hadn't been there before because he had just moved," says Keith. "And I had to call him to say 'well, what's the exact location?' And he was actually in the car going to the airport. And I said, 'Well, we're coming over there.' And he said, 'Yeah, I know, but I gotta leave out on the road, but Cassidy's gonna be there. But I got up real early and I've been cleaning the place ridiculously. It's spotless, and it's absolutely fantastic, but I'm not gonna be there to enjoy any of it 'cause I'm hitting the road.' What a good work ethic, what a good man he is."

In response, Dierks explained to Eric Church (who was filling in for the syndicated radio host) that when you've got company coming over, you've got to make sure everything is in its place. "Actually, we've got this cool screened in porch," says Dierks. "It's an old house, it's a 1930s house, and I was discovering all sorts of stuff on the ground, like nails sticking out of the ground and stuff ... and a couple of loose screws just sitting around. So, I was out there literally on my hands and knees making sure there wasn't any sort of trip hazards or anything that was gonna cause some blood to come about. But, that's pretty funny."

Dierks may have to miss another playdate, since he hits the road Feb. 6 in Thackerville, Okla., but first, he'll be in Los Angeles for the Grammy Awards on Sunday, where he's nominated for Best Country Collaboration for his duet with Patty Griffin on 'Beautiful World.'
