Danny Gokey + Wife Expecting Daughter

It's going to be a girl for Danny Gokey and his wife, Leyicet!

The singer took to his Facebook page to reveal the exciting news, along with a video of the ultrasound.

Their new daughter will join big brother Daniel Emmanuel at home, who turned one in January.

The former 'American Idol' contestant released his book, 'Hope in Front of Me: Finding Purpose in Your Darkest Moments,' in October, along with a faith-based album, 'Hope in Front of Me,' in June. After many personal struggles, including losing his first wife Sophia in 2008, followed by losing his record deal at RCA in 2011, the 34-year-old says life couldn't be any better.

“If people can look at my life and say, ‘What would have happened if I gave up at that point?’” he notes. “There would be no Sophia’s Heart. There would be no impactful music. There would be no hope for changing people’s lives. There would be no (family) … I think if people could take that and apply it to themselves, they could see that it’s not time to give up. There’s other people’s lives that need your story, so keep moving forward.”
