Danielle Bradbery has plenty of rehearsing to do this summer. The 18-year-old will hit the road this fall as the opening act for Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge on their joint headlining 2015 CMT on Tour.

"There was a little bit of screaming and dancing a little bit," Bradbery tells The Boot of the moment she received an invitation to join the trek. "I love those two. They’re so talented. They’re the hottest guys in country music right now. It’s amazing to be a part of that and to know [that] the crowd [will be] a mixture of their fans and my fans -- it’s going to be so much fun."

Bradbery released her self-titled debut album in 2013, five months after being crowned the Season 4 winner of The Voice. While the record produced two singles, including the Top 20 hit "The Heart of Dixie," Bradbery says that she is now working hard on her sophomore album.

"I’ve been writing a lot, so that’s really exciting," she reveals. "We’re looking forward to my music being out late summer. And I know a lot of my fans are like, ‘Where are you? What’s going on?’ but I’m trying to make it as fun and as perfect as I can for everybody to hear."

Even though her vocal chops could easily blur into pop, the Texan says that her next set of tunes will remain firmly in country music.

"Country music is like one big family," Bradbery maintains. "Everybody’s so genuine and so sweet. It’s an amazing genre to be in."

Bradbery has several shows on the calendar for the summer, before she hits the road with Eldredge and Rhett. Dates for the 2015 CMT on Tour have not been announced, but you can keep track of all of Bradbery's upcoming shows on her website.
