Daniel Lee has just released his debut album, and he's sharing an exclusive live version of one of the new tracks with readers of The Boot.

Written by Lee himself, 'Head Over Heels' conveys both the enthusiasm of falling in love, and the apprehension of committing yourself to someone.

"Sometimes love is like quicksand," the singer says. "The more you fight it, the more you sink."

Lee filmed this special acoustic performance of the light-hearted, catchy love song in the intimate setting of the Basement in Nashville. The track appears on his debut album, 'Roots,' which he released via Average Joes Entertainment on Tuesday (July 22).

Shannon “Fat Shan” Houchins and Noah Gordon produced the album, for which Lee wrote many of the songs, including ‘Struggleville,’ which he penned with Brantley Gilbert.

“I am a southern man, living in a southern world, writing southern music,” Lee says. “My music isn’t country, it’s not rock, it’s just southern, and I’m extremely excited about this record.”

'Roots' is currently available at iTunes. For more information about Daniel Lee, visit his official website.
