Outlaw country artist Dallas Moore is debuting his new song "You Know the Rest" exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play below to listen.

With traditional country sensibilities and a gravelly voice that recalls the late George Jones in his later years, Moore tells the trials and tribulations of the road in "You Know the Rest." It's a topic he knows intimately after having played a grand total of 327 shows — nearly one a night! — in 2017, either solo or as part of his award-winning Dallas Moore Band.

"I've cheated and lied in this race that I've run / But I come by it honest, to that I attest / Let's drink to the good times / You know the rest," Moore sings of road life's ups and downs. "I've wined and I've dined with kings and with queens / I've laid in the gutter and ate pork and beans."

"You Know the Rest" appears on Mr. Honky Tonk, Moore's forthcoming solo album. The record was produced by Dean Miller, known for his work with Chris Stapleton, Alison Krauss and Merle Haggard, among others, and features appearances from stalwart session musicians including pedal-steel player Steve Hinson and Nashville bassist Michael Rhodes.

In 2017, Moore's Dallas Moore Band took home the trophy for Outlaw Group of the Year at the Ameripolitan Music Awards. It was the band's fourth time being nominated, but first win, at the ceremony, which highlights the best in outlaw country, Western swing, honky-tonk and rockabilly music.

Mr. Honky Tonk is set for release on March 2. Visit DallasMoore.com for more details.
