Chuck Wicks has a new single, 'Hold That Thought,' and a steamy video that portrays him as a man deeply in love with a beautiful woman. But while Chuck has been single since his split from Julianne Hough last year, the bachelor says he hopes to experience the lyrics in his tune first-hand in the near future.

"'Hold That Thought' is all about going home and taking care of your woman," says Chuck (quote via CMIL). "This is who I am and this is who I want to be. So 'Hold That Thought' eventually would be about who I'm in love with. I'm single now but I don't want to be single. I want to have that girl that I'm talking to on the phone and go 'hold that thought.' I think music is a great thing like that. You can take from your past experiences and put it into a song and hold onto those experiences through that song."

Even though it was painful for Chuck to move on after dating Julianne for so long, he says it's those kind of experiences that help him as a writer. "Through my songwriting, I always take things from my personal life and put it in a song," he notes. "I've written songs about what's going on in my life, whether it was a bad break-up a good break-up ... I think life happens for a reason whether it's good or bad and you just take it and learn from it. As a songwriter I just take these things and write about them."

With his single steadily climbing the charts, the former 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant has seen his fan base increase exponentially. And while he's grateful for the support, he admits there are some aspects of fame -- specifically certain autograph requests -- that make him uncomfortable. "I've been asked to sign quite a few [pregnant stomachs]," Chuck tells The Boot. "I always think this is weird, and I always get scared. I [worry] that the marker is going to leak in or something. It can't be good for the baby. Good lord, what are you going to do -- go smoke a cigarette now after this? What examples are we setting here? It's like I'm christening the baby or something. I'm always like, 'Are you sure about this?'"

Chuck is currently hard at work on his sophomore album, which is slated to hit shelves later this year.
