Chris Young has released a brand-new single, "I'm Comin' Over." The song is the debut single from his upcoming new album.

With lines like, "I’m comin’ over, running every red light / To hell with the closure, save it for another time / Try not to think about you, but it ain’t working / Why put out a fire when it’s still burning? / Just when I think moving on’s getting closer / I’m comin’ over," the mid-tempo tune is one that Young felt was perfect to kick off his upcoming record.

""I’m Comin’ Over" describes that feeling when you can’t get someone off your mind, and you just have to be with them no matter the consequences,” Young explains of the song, which he wrote with Corey Crowder and Josh Hoge. “It’s my first new music in almost three years, and I’m really excited to share it with my fans.”

Young burst onto the music scene in 2006 with his self-titled freshman album. But while country music has undoubtedly changed since then, the 29-year-old isn't afraid to go with the changes.

“I think I could sit here and talk about how music has evolved over the past decade and how it’s consumed and how it’s purchased and talk about all the steps and missteps that everybody’s made, whether it’s songwriters, labels, artists,” Young explains. ”I think that’s something you constantly have to keep track of. As an artist, a lot of people forget, you’re in charge of your company, your name, your album, your music, for as long as that exists.”

Young will head to Jamaica later this month to co-headline Boots on the Beach 2015 with Jerrod Niemann and Tyler Farr. He will also perform at the 2015 CMA Music Festival, during the nightly concerts at LP Field. A complete list of all of his upcoming shows is available on his website.
