Chris Young's latest album, 'A.M,' has only been on the shelves for two months, but it has already earned him a gold single

'Aw Naw,' the record's debut track, was recently certified gold, signifying sales in excess of 500,000 units. Young, who wrote the song with hit writers Ashley Gorley and Chris DeStefano, acknowledges the tune is a departure from what he has released in the past, which was exactly what he wanted to accomplish.

"It's very different than what we've put out before, but still very much me, and something I would say. It's not anything too out there, just a fun party song," he tells Billboard magazine. "That was the thought process going in from the very get go, was to do something sonically different on this record."

Young, who will continue touring with Brad Paisley into the first part of 2014, will also serve as a special guest on George Strait's The Cowboy Rides Away tour. Keep track of all of his upcoming shows here.
