Chris Stapleton Loses His Voice, Postpones a Concert
Chris Stapleton has been forced to postpone an upcoming concert after losing his voice.
According to an Instagram post from Stapleton, the singer does not know the cause of his vocal issues, but he is headed to a doctor on Tuesday morning (April 26) to find out more and figure out how to get well. The postponed show was scheduled for Tuesday night in Santa Barbara, Calif., at the Santa Barbara Bowl. A new date has not yet been announced, but Stapleton and his crew "are working hard to find the earliest possible date we can to get back to you guys."
"I truly regret having to do this and any inconvenience it may cause," the artist continues. "Thanks for your support and understanding. You guys mean the world to me."
The next show on Stapleton's calendar is scheduled for Wednesday (April 27) at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Calif., and his schedule is busy throughout the summer and into the fall. Stapleton recently played both weekends of Coachella 2016, and he is booked for Bonnaroo in June. In August, he and Hank Williams Jr. will team up for a co-headlining tour.
Stapleton's newest single is "Parachute," from his debut album, Traveller.
