Carrie Underwood leads the pack of country stars in nominations for the upcoming People's Choice Awards. The 'Idol' beauty is nominated, along with pop stars Alicia Keys and Rihanna, for Favorite Female Artist. She also scores nods for Favorite Country Song, for her No. 1 hit, 'Last Name,' as well as inclusion on the list of Favorite Star 35 and Under.

Rascal Flatts are just behind Underwood, with two nominations. Their song, 'Take Me There' is included in the Favorite Country song category, and they are also nominated, along with Maroon 5 and Coldplay, for Favorite Group.

Taylor Swift also has two People's Choice nominations, as she is included in the Favorite Country Song category for her self-penned hit, 'Love Story.' She also joins Underwood in the Favorite Star 35 and Under category, a list that also includes 'High School Musical' star Zac Efron, rocker John Mayer, actress Angelina Jolie, and several others.

With one nomination each, Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney are both vying for Favorite Male Singer against pop star Chris Brown. The awards, voted on by fans at pcaVOTE.com, will take place on January 7 in Los Angeles.
