Carrie Underwood Is Happy With New Single’s Positive Message
Carrie Underwood's latest single, 'See You Again,' has an uplifting message -- and after a couple of darker releases in a row, the singer admits that she's more than ready for something a little lighter.
"I have been saying, since 'See You Again' came out, I’m so happy," she laughingly tells a group of reporters (quote via Country Weekly). "I have a positive message!"
'See You Again' is the fourth single from her current album, 'Blown Away.' The first single, 'Good Girl,' was an up-tempo song about ending a relationship, but its second and third singles, 'Blown Away' and 'Two Black Cadillacs,' both featured darker, edgier themes.
"I love having songs with attitude. I love getting onstage and rocking out," Underwood explains of her song choices. She adds, "I don’t have a violent streak in me, but I sing like I do. So, it’s so nice to have something that does have a positive message. It feels good."
