Carrie UnderwoodIs Carrie Underwood giving up her singing career to become Hollywood's next big star?

"I have officially decided that I'm giving up the music business," Carrie says on her blog (quote via Us Weekly), following her guest appearance on the CBS hit, 'How I Met Your Mother.' "I'm going to become a professional sitcom actress!"

Fortunately for her music fans, Carrie wasn't being serious. "LOL! Just kidding," she jokes.

The Grammy-nominated singer, who according to her co-star, Neil Patrick Harris, was "awesome," had the time of her life. "The show was so much fun!" she continues. "I got to hang out with the whole cast, dress up like a flight attendant, play a cavewoman, and had a baby pig poop on me ... jealous?"

Turns out, the Oklahoma native's country upbringing -- and love of animals -- was good preparation for her role. "I think I was the only one who knew how to hold and wasn't afraid of a little piglet!" she reveals.

Carrie's episode, called 'You'll Love The Way We Fly,' will air in March. Meanwhile, rumors are swirling that the 'American Idol' alum, whose other TV appearances include hosting the CMA Awards and her own variety show, is about to hit the big screen to star in the true story, 'Soul Surfer,' about professional surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm to a shark while surfing in Hawaii when she was 13 years old.

Also on Carrie's mind is her upcoming Play On tour. "The productions is going to be amazing," she says. "I'm kind of disappointed that I'll be on the stage and not in the audience." Her tour kicks off on March 11 with opening acts Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia.
