Carrie Underwood Helps Unveil Idol Experience
Former 'American Idol' contestants, including Grammy winner Carrie Underwood, will gather this week in Orlando, Fla. to celebrate the opening of the new American Idol Experience attraction at Disney World's Hollywood Studios.
The interactive attraction officially opens to the public on February 14, but a series of invitation-only events on February 12 will bring together 'AI' finalists Jordin Sparks (pictured above, with Underwood), David Cook, David Archuleta, Taylor Hicks, Bo Bice and more. 'Idol' host Ryan Seacrest is also scheduled to appear. The 'Idol' stars will participate in a motorcade for Disney World visitors, with an invitation-only concert featuring Underwood and Cook to follow.
Much like the TV show itself, the American Idol Experience gives participants the chance to sing in front of a casting producer who'll decide if you'll take the stage or head for the exit. Make it to the stage, and audience members will vote to determine your fate. The singer chosen in the grand finale at the end of each day will receive a dream ticket to a regional audition for the actual 'American Idol' TV show.
