Carrie Underwood is returning to the stage that kick-started her award-winning career. Busy crossing the U.S. and Canada on her Play On tour, the season four 'Idol' champ is taking a short detour to perform on the 'American Idol' season finale next week.

The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year will perform her new single, 'Undo It,' penned by Carrie, 'Idol' judge Kara DioGuardi, and tunesmiths Luke Laird and Martin Frederiksen. The performance will mark Carrie's second performance on the hit TV show this year. Carrie previously performed as part of an all-star cast, including Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, Pink and Miley Cyrus, for the two-hour special, 'Idol Gives Back.'

In addition to her Play On tour, Carrie is busy planning her wedding to hockey player Mike Fisher. Refusing to reveal the date, Carrie has nevertheless divulged several details, including using her dog Ace as a ring bearer, and serving cupcakes for dessert. Check out Carrie's tour schedule here.

The 'American Idol' season nine finale airs Wed., May 26 at 8:00 PM (ET) on FOX.
