Carrie and Dolly to Guest on ‘American Idol’

'American Idol' is getting some country star power this season. Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton have both signed on to make appearances on the hit show.

Underwood, a former 'A.I.' winner, will lend a hand at 'Idol Gives Back,' the show's special charity event that raises awareness and money for various causes. Other celebrities tapped for the special include Brad Pitt, Miley Cyrus, Maroon 5, Heart, Bono and John Legend.

Parton will be a celebrity mentor to this year's finalists. She'll join Mariah Carey, Neil Diamond and theater legend Andrew Lloyd Webber as guest coaches.
