Brantley Gilbert Extends 2017 The Devil Don’t Sleep Tour Into Summer
Brantley Gilbert has extended his 2017 tour into the summer. Following a brief break between its springtime and summertime legs, the singer's The Devil Don't Sleep Tour will now keep Gilbert on the road through late September.
Gilbert began his The Devil Don't Sleep Tour on Feb. 2 in Reading, Pa., and was originally scheduled to wrap the trek up on April 29 in Duluth, Minn. On Monday (Feb. 27), Gilbert announced a new set of 26 tour dates, scheduled to begin on June 2 in Tampa, Fla., and run through Sept. 23 in Raleigh, N.C. A complete list of dates is below.
“These shows in the arenas are so loud and so wild. You almost can’t hold that energy in the building, but come summer -- when we take it outside -- it’s a whole other kind of deal when we get outside with the BG Nation," Gilbert says in a press release. "There are so many different ways to do this come warm weather. And I like ’em all ... [W]hen we take it outside, it’s just good, and we have the party of the summer everywhere we go.”
2017's Country, Americana, Alt-Country, Bluegrass and Folk Tours
Tyler Farr and Luke Combs will join Gilbert on the road this summer. Readers can visit Gilbert’s official website for more details on his newly announced 2017 The Devil Don't Sleep Tour stops. The tour is in support of his newest studio album, The Devil Don’t Sleep, his most personal project yet.
“Decisions are always there to make, and The Devil Don’t Sleep, for me, [means] always just being aware that I am an addict,” Gilbert explains. “I’m a recovering addict, but I’ll always be an addict. Those temptations are there. There’s a lot of roads that go left.”
