Despite his superstar status stateside, Brad Paisley admits his level of fame in America far exceeds that of his fame in Europe ... even backstage at his own concert! "I'm getting asked everywhere if I belong here ... You know, 'Excuse me sir, do you have a pass?'" Brad jokes with the Associated Press.

An artist with a larger ego would likely take offense, but the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year takes his anonymity with a grain of salt. "It's humbling, but it's also pleasant," Brad comments. "I can walk around here feeling like hardly anyone is going to know me."

The singer/songwriter kicked off the European leg of his H20 II: Wetter and Wilder World Tour last Wednesday night (August 17) before a sold-out crowd at London's O2 Arena. He'll perform select dates in Ireland, Sweden and Denmark in promotion of his seventh studio album, 'This Is Country Music,' before returning to the states in mid-September. Even if his face isn't instantly recognizable, Brad is amazed at his music's reception overseas.

"It's really a pleasant surprise every time how much they know and how much they are familiar with my music, in a way that they really aren't in America," says the singer.

Brad is currently Top 5 on the charts with 'Remind Me,' his sultry duet with friend and fellow country music superstar Carrie Underwood. The dynamic duo will reunite this November on the CMA Awards stage, marking the fourth consecutive year of hosting duties for the singers.
