What do Brad Paisley, Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave), Scott Ian (of Anthrax) and Nuno Bettencourt (of Extreme) all have in common? The Game of Thrones theme song, apparently.

Paisley might seem to be the odd man out among the hard-rocking group, but according to his fellow musicians, he brought a little something extra to their re-imagined version of the theme. Press play above to watch as Paisley and the gang deliver a hard rocking re-interpretation of the iconic melody, as composer Ramin Djawadi and co-showrunner look on.

"What we're doing is so specific to us, it would be great if somebody just did some beautiful, just sprinkle some fairy dust on it," Bettencourt tells Paisley as the country star sits down to play. "That's what it's been missing!" Morello agrees.

The artists perform the track on guitars from the Fender Custom Shop's new Sigil Collection of guitars, a team-up between Fender and HBO to release a line of deluxe, built-to-order guitars that represent the show's three main houses.

It isn't the first time a country star has gotten swept up in GoT fever. Chris Stapleton recently confirmed that he made a brief, sneaky and heavily disguised cameo on an episode of the show, where he played a White Walker resurrected by the Night King.

In other news, Paisley and his wife, actor Kimberly Williams-Paisley, recently broke ground on the Store, a free grocery store for Nashville families in need. Paisley said at the time that one of the goals of his new endeavor was to give "dignity to parents," allowing them to shop in a normal way without causing extra stress on their families.

In March of 2019, the singer also shared his new single, "My Miracle," which was written about Williams-Paisley. The song follows "Bucked Off," which was released in November of 2018. A new full-length project has yet to be announced.
