Brad Paisley's video for his latest single, 'River Bank,' has all of the necessary elements for a fun summer tune -- sun, water, boats, drinks, women in bikinis ... and a water-skiing squirrel named Twiggy.

Paisley can be seen throughout the video, singing, "We got an inner tube / We got a trailer hitch / We’re near the river and far from rich / But we have got each other and gas in the tank / We’re laughing all the way to the river bank," while riding on an inner tube in his signature cowboy hat, as Twiggy trails behind on a miniature water ski.

The song is the debut single from his upcoming album, 'Moonshine in the Trunk,' which Paisley says became the inspiration for the entire project.

“I was trying to figure out where to go from here, what to write and what felt like what I wanted to do,” he explains. “There’s a groove that feels like that and I think we grabbed that groove when we made this track and, more than that, there’s a mindset that I am completely ready for after this winter.”

The video shoot wasn't without its dangers, however. It was filmed on a 150-acre body of water in Alabama, where a bald eagle's nest was spotted. Thankfully, though bald eagles are a natural predator for squirrels, Twiggy was unharmed during the taping.

'Moonshine in the Trunk' is scheduled for an August release. Download 'River Bank' here.

Paisley's current Country Nation World Tour includes a very special appearance at the 2014 Taste of Country Music Festival, which takes place from June 13-15 at Hunter Mountain in New York. Other headliners at the three-day country music and camping festival include Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert and Hank Williams, Jr.
