Brad Paisley is letting his fingers do the talking on his next album. He's recording a CD of entirely instrumental songs, highlighting his celebrated guitar skills.

"I feel like we're able to take it in a direction that you wouldn't expect me to do," Brad tells GAC. "I can get away with things on this album that I could never do on my country records. We can have collaborations with people that would seem out of place on country albums. It's just a chance to be really creative in a way that I never get to."

Paisley already has a Grammy for Best Country Instrumental Performance, for his song 'Throttleneck.' He joked with a room full of country radio personalities in Nashville last week that he hopes they'll at least play his new instrumentals as background music while they report the weather and traffic.
