Boot Spurs

This week, even the Spurs can't avoid Charlie Sheen.

All is right in the world knowing that Charlie Sheen may do a reality TV show, while Gwyneth Paltrow is rumored to have signed a label deal to record a pop country album. The Barbara Mandrell hit, 'I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool,' has been eliminated as a possible choice for the project, but I am hearing that she and Charlie Sheen will duet on a song paying homage to the late Buck Owens, 'I've Got Tiger Blood By the Tail.'

My big burly hottie Trace Adkins has stepped up like a man and apologized for his controversial song, 'Brown Chicken, Brown Cow,' after the song barely cracked the charts. Sometimes if you lead, others will follow. Billy Ray Cyrus has called a press conference next week to apologize for 'Achy Breaky Heart,' and Troy Gentry will say he's sorry once again for 'Running Bear.'

Jennifer Hudson, who has dropped weight recently in exchange for more cleavage, has recorded the Brooks and Dunn smash 'I Believe' (which Ronnie Dunn used to sing while Kix Brooks did his cardio vascular workout beside him). Ronnie says he's so flattered by Jennifer that he's going to dress up as a diva and sing her signature song from 'Dreamgirls' at his album release party. Oscar host James Franco is said to be lending Ronnie a dress for the performance.

Wynonna Judd is urging everyone to adopt pets, and she's leading by example. Currently at her farm, you'll find a cat, two dogs, five horses, a llama and Gary Busey. It's comforting to know there are people who provide safe havens for those that need it.

Finally, Dolly Parton continues to amaze. She is making sure some 3,500 kids in Scotland will get a free book every month until they are five years old. Thank goodness for great artists and humanitarians like Dolly. No one ... and I mean no one has done more with an endowment fund that our own Dolly.
