Blake Shelton to Make Debut as Host on ‘Saturday Night Live’
Blake Shelton's comedic abilities are going to come in handy later this month. The country star and 'The Voice' judge will host NBC’s 'Saturday Night Live' on Jan. 24.
It will be Shelton's first time hosting the show -- and he'll be performing double duty as the musical guest of the evening, too.
The 'Neon Light' singer certainly has the accolades worthy of an 'SNL' hosting stint: He's the reigning five-time CMA Awards Male Vocalist of the Year and a five-time Grammy nominee. Plus, he has charm -- lots of it -- and quick wit, as showcased on 'The Voice.'
Plus, Shelton is no stranger to playing host: He and buddy Luke Bryan have co-hosted the ACM Awards several times, always leaving fans in stitches -- even in the promos. And before Bryan stepped up to co-host, Shelton co-hosted with Reba McEntire.
Fans may remember there was a Facebook campaign for Shelton to host 'SNL' back in 2012. It took a few years, but the dream has been realized.
