Blake Shelton will take center stage to headline Nashville's annual Country Radio Seminar (CRS) Music City Jam on March 2, 2011. The event, now in its sixth year, has previously featured superstars Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Toby Keith and Brad Paisley for the concert that officially kicks off CRS, as radio programmers, DJs and others gather for their annual conference,

Blake has been enjoying a steady climb in his career lately. The Oklahoma native recently scored his seventh No.1 hit with his single, 'All About Tonight.' So the opportunity to perform this coveted gig is just further proof that he's on the right track. "I'm really focusing more on my music and who I am than I ever have before," Blake tells The Boot. "I always thought that would take care of itself, and that I would go down this path of life and music and I'd end up being this artist at the end of the day. I'm finding it's something that I had to work on harder than that, really beat myself up over who I am and what do I want to stand for and what kind of music I want to do. Just now figuring that out that it was up to me all along."

For Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB) president, Mike Culotta, who is responsible for lining up the talent for the event, Blake was an easy choice. "Blake Shelton is unquestionably one of the hottest artists in country music today," he asserts. "His trademark sense of humor and string of No.1 hits have endeared him not only to his fans, but country radio as well. I can't think of a better fit for this year's Jam, and I know he will put on a memorable performance."

The Academy of Country Music will return as host of the Music City Jam. CRS 2011 will be held March 2-4 in downtown Nashville. Meanwhile, in addition to helping his bride-to-be, Miranda Lambert, plan their upcoming wedding, Blake is also spending much of the fall on the road. Find his tour schedule here.
