For Blake Shelton, trying out a new radio station has really paid off. Scanning the dial on his truck during a drive from Texas to Oklahoma, the country superstar's ears perked up when he heard Dave Barnes' 'God Gave Me You' on a Christian radio station. It immediately made him think of his then bride-to-be, Miranda Lambert.

"It's no secret, Miranda and I have had our ups and downs over the years and this was definitely at a low point at our relationship," Blake tells The Boot of the day he first heard the song. "But I heard that song come on the radio, and I almost had to pull the truck over. It was one of those moments for me where I felt like I was hearing that song at that moment for a reason."

Fast forward a few months later, and Blake recorded and released the tune as the second single from his 'Red River Blue' album. It not only went all the way to No. 1 on the charts, but as of this week has sold more than a million downloads, giving the song platinum certification by the RIAA.

Adding to his bling, it was also announced this week that Blake's 'Loaded: The Best of Blake Shelton' and 'Red River Blue' albums have both gone gold, signifying more than a half million sales for each. The latter is up for Best Country Album at next month's Grammy Awards.

Blake, who is a three-time Grammy nominee, is set to perform on the live broadcast in a tribute to Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Glen Campbell. The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles' Staples Center, Feb. 12 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.
