Blake Shelton Brings Friends and Heroes Tour Back for 2020
Blake Shelton's Friends and Heroes Tour will return for 2020. The country star announced the second iteration of the trek, which ran earlier this year, on Wednesday (Oct. 16).
Shelton's Friends and Heroes Tour will begin on Feb. 13 in Portland, Ore., and hit 16 cities throughout the Midwest and West Coast. Back again for the trek is Lauren Alaina, along with special guests are the Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson and Trace Adkins. All four artists were also part of the 2019 run.
“The Friends and Heroes Tour was so exciting and successful last year that I couldn’t imagine not trying something like that again,” Shelton says in a press release. “Even though every night when the show wrapped, I would tell the audience that they might never see something like this again, with these legends, my plan all along was to at least try to make that happen.
"I didn’t know if I’d be able to get the same artists, but we were able to work it out," Shelton adds. "We were only able to do a handful of shows last year, so we’re going to take the tour to different areas so that fans will get a chance to see what we did. I feel like it was the best concert experience that I’ve ever been involved in, and I’m ready to get fired up again.”
Tickets for Shelton's 2020 Friends and Heroes Tour go on sale on Oct. 25 at 10AM local time for all shows except for those in Los Angeles, Calif.; Wichita, Kan., and Detroit, Mich. Those three concerts will go on sale on Nov. 1 at 10AM local time. Visit BlakeShelton.com for full ticketing details, including information on pre-sales for American Express cardholders.
Prior to his 2020 tour's start, he'll release a new album, Fully Loaded: God's Country, on Dec. 13. The 12-song project will feature a mix of hits and brand-new material, including the just-released "Jesus Got a Tight Grip," Shelton's current single "Hell Right" and his most recent No. 1 song, "God's Country."
