Blake Shelton's hometown of Ada, Okla., is re-naming one of their streets after the town's most famous local.

On Sept. 30, the town is hosting a block party to celebrate the release of Shelton's upcoming album, 'Bringing Back the Sunshine,' which features Ada's water tower on the cover and is set for release the same day. As part of the celebration, the town will host a Blake Shelton lookalike contest and unveil Blake Shelton Boulevard.

"I think this is a wonderful event," Ada Mayor Bryan Morris says. "Its our inaugural event for the Ada Arts District. Everyone's welcome, there's a little bit for everyone to do so lets come out and celebrate Ada's favorite son: Blake Shelton."

Shelton won't be able to attend the event in person, but his mom, Dorothy Shackelford, says he is touched that the town is holding the event.

"Blake thanks you, and I thank you, and I know we're gonna have a good time," she says. "He's very excited about this festival and that y'all are doing this and recognizing him."
