Blake Shelton Performs New Single at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards [WATCH]
Blake Shelton used his 2017 People's Choice Awards performance to unveil his next single: The country star performed "Every Time I Hear That Song" at the awards ceremony on Wednesday night (Jan. 18).
"Every Time I Hear That Song" comes from Shelton's newest studio album, If I'm Honest, released in May of 2016; it was written by Aimee Mayo, Chris Lindsey and the Warren Brothers (Brad Warren and Brett Warren). Readers can press play above to hear the tune and see Shelton's 2017 PCAs performance.
"Blake is our big country moment," Jack Sussman, EVP of specials, music and live events for CBS Productions, tells the Tennessean. "This is a big, broad-based show about television, movies and music, and we cover a lot of ground. Blake is the personification of today's country star. He reaches a lot of people, he knows how to connect with them, and he's a great face for country music today. And the reality is he's the real deal."
If I'm Honest hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and has spawned three Top 10 singles, including two No. 1s: "Came Here to Forget" and "Guy With a Girl," Shelton's newest No. 1 song.
Shelton earned Favorite Male Country Artist and the all-genre Favorite Album award at the 43rd annual People's Choice Awards; he was also nominated for in the all-genre category of Favorite Male Artist. The singer spent 2016 serving as a judge on NBC's The Voice and on the road promoting his 10th studio album.
