The CMT Awards were filled with surprise performances by artists you might not normally see around Nashville. Rapper T-Pain performed a hilarious rap collaboration with Taylor Swift in the show's opening number. Taylor also performed with her rock heroes, Def Leppard, singing their classic hit 'Pour Some Sugar On Me.' And the most surprising guests of the evening perhaps, were the B-52's, who took the stage with CMT Duo Video of the Year winner Sugarland, performing their 1989 hit, 'Love Shack.' Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush say they've loved the song for decades. They even covered it for their upcoming 'Live On the Inside' live DVD.

Other non-country music celebs at the show included 'American Idol's' Randy Jackson, actor Luke Wilson, Tennessee Titans quarterback Kerry Collins, model/actress Karolina Kurkova and 'Dancing With the Stars' champs Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas.
