Austin Webb Gets Engaged

Austin Webb proposed to longtime girlfriend Melanie McFarlane Payne -- and she said yes!

The "All Country on You" singer announced the engagement on Wednesday (Nov. 11) on Twitter and Instagram.

"I've never been so sure about anything in my life," he says. "The most supportive, beautiful, smart, funny, great-cooking, good-lookin', kind-hearted woman said yes."

Along with Webb's announcement came a photo of the ring -- and he certainly stepped up to the plate in that department! Payne's ring features a massive diamond surrounded by approximately a dozen smaller diamonds. And, if that's not enough, the ring's band is also covered in diamonds.

The couple has not yet announced a wedding date.

Webb is currently working on a new album, and he's also been busy on the road.

“It’s half my life, basically, and it’s taught me so much about myself, spending that kind of time exploring the world and finding out things on your own and taking your own chances and these huge risks,” he says of life on tour. “What I’ve learned is, I was born a country singer … If I lose my record deal and I don’t have any success on radio, if I don’t have anything, I’ve still got country music fans.

“If I lose everything, I’m still gonna be a country singer," Webb adds, "because that’s who I was born to be.”
