Ashley Monroe Engaged: Pistol Annie to Wed Chicago White Sox Pitcher John Danks

No more single Annies! Ashley Monroe, one-third of critically-acclaimed country trio, Pistol Annies, is engaged. The angelic-voiced singer made the announcement via Twitter Friday night (Sept. 14).

"I said yes.. I'M ENGAGED TO MY JOHN DANKS!!!! BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE!!!!" she tweeted, along with a photo of her gorgeous engagement ring and another picture from the scene of the proposal: a bed with 'Will you marry me?' spelled out in rose petals. (See the photos below.)

John Danks is a pitcher with the Chicago White Sox. The left-hander signed with the team in 2007 and has proven a star player with 135 strike outs last year. He is benched this season due to shoulder surgery.

Ashley is nicknamed "Hippie Annie" by her bandmates, Miranda Lambert and Angaleena Presley. Miranda is, of course, married to fellow country superstar Blake Shelton, while Angaleena tied the knot with Miranda's tour manager, Jordan Powell, back in May. The trio began their fall headlining tour over the weekend.
