Carrie Underwood Twitter Posts Will Never Be ‘Real Personal’
Carrie Underwood is still new to Twitter (@carrieunderwood) and certainly having fun with it, but she says fans shouldn't expect her to reveal intimate details of her life with her more than 143,000 followers.
"Where I keep the real personal stuff is on the fan club site, the blogs and things like that," she explains (quote via the Country Vibe). "I don't tweet like 23 times a day like some people do. I've had to think about who I'm going to follow because that person tweets too much and I don't want to follow 'em. It's important to me to use it more as a tool."
The 'Good Girl' singer admits she always had a fascination with Twitter, long before she finally joined. "I've always been intrigued by it but I've always been scared of it as well," acknowledges the singer-songwriter. "You see people get themselves in trouble, so we definitely use it as a tool to be able to let people know what I'm up to."
Carrie chose not to tweet her feelings about former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning choosing to play for the Denver Broncos over the Tennessee Titans, but she did offer a solution to the Colorado team.
"Send [Tim) Tebow here [to Nashville]," she suggested. "If you're done with him, we'll take him!" The avid sports fan added she had high hopes for Tennessee's football team this year. "I just want the Titans to be all they can be."
Not that the wife of professional hockey player Mike Fisher will have much time to watch football this year. Carrie will release her album, 'Blown Away,' in May, and hints that there will be a tour later this year. Her current single, 'Good Girl,' is in the Top 15 and climbing. Pre-order 'Blown Away' here.
