Alison Krauss & Union Station are in high demand. Only a month away from kicking off their summer tour -- which will feature Jerry Douglas on dobro -- the award-winning group have already added nine more dates to their schedule.

Their new itinerary includes four stops in Tennessee. They will play Nashville's Ryman Auditorium August 26 and 27, before heading to Knoxville's Tennessee Theatre September 24 and 25.

Other recently added shows are: July 2 in Ketchum, Idaho; July 10 in Stateline, Nev.; August 2 in New York City; September 13 in Minneapolis, Minn.; and September 22 in St. Louis, Mo.

The group will undoubtedly perform songs from their latest No. 1 album, 'Paper Airplanes.' The CD -- the group's first collective work in seven years -- was the product of a lifetime of experience.

"When it's open and honest, that's when the real nature of who you are as a vocalist or as a performer, all of that stuff can finally start to become what it's supposed to be," Alison tells The Boot. "Like a settling into yourself. It's not even a musical thing, it's a whole mindset."
