Alan Jackson Steps Aside for Miranda Lambert at Country Jam

It will be Miranda Lambert's name in lights at Country Jam USA this year, and not Alan Jackson's, as originally planned.



Once again showing he's one of the nicest guys in the music business, Alan agreed to cede this year's headlining spot to Miranda when the promoter of the four-day festival -- scheduled for June 24 to 27 in Grand Junction, Colo. -- ran into a scheduling conflict. But no hard feelings -- Alan will play the Country Jam next year.

"We regret any inconvenience this change may cause, " Julie Schaefer, the event's marketing director says,"but Alan Jackson fans can look forward to seeing him perform at Jam on Saturday, June 25, 2011."

Fear not, ticket holders. Country Jam is still going to one of this summer's hottest tickets, with Miranda headlining and a whole slew of A-List talent -- including Keith Urban, Trace Adkins, Billy Currington and Gloriana -- filling the bill. There's even a new addition, Clay Walker, on Saturday's line up.
