It's been a good week for Alan Jackson. The country superstar scored the 33rd No. 1 single of his career with 'Good Time,' the title track to his 17th album. Plus, he received news that he has now sold more than 50 million albums since his life-changing move to Nashville from his hometown of Newnan, Ga.

"It's a short drive from Georgia to Tennessee, but it's a long way to 50 million albums sold!" praises Sony BMG Nashville Chairman Joe Galante. "Alan's songs and shows have propelled him to this incredible level of success. He has never lost touch with the fans, and they've shown their appreciation year after year with No. 1 singles and Platinum sales."

Jackson's 'Good Time' album was the fourth of his career to debut at No. 1 on both the country albums chart and overall Billboard 200 sales charts. He wrote every song on the album, without any co-writers.
