Best Americana Album features some of the richest songwriting, recording and performing talent in the industry. By the Way, I Forgive You from Brandi Carlile has won the trophy at the 2019 Grammys.

The Best Americana Album award was presented Sunday night (Feb. 10) during the pre-telecast 2019 Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony. The project features her song "The Joke," which won both Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance.

"Dave, say something!" Carlile said, offering the mic to Dave Cobb, who produced the album, among other contributions, as she accepted a third Grammy for the night.

"I'm just so proud to be involved," Cobb responded, acknowledging his privilege to be involved with such talent. Carlile followed up with a list of contributors to the powerful album, as well as friends and family members that supported the project, which Carlile says allowed them all to give their very best.

The award was Carlile's second victory of the evening, following her win in the category of Best American Roots Performance. That victory marked the Americana star's first-ever Grammys win, but it only remained her only trophy from the Academy for a matter of minutes, before Carlile was awarded for a second time.

In 2019, Carlile is the most-nominated woman at the Grammy Awards ceremony. She is also nominated for the all-genre Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year honors.
