Brandi Carlile, John Prine Win Big at 2019 Americana Honors & Awards — See Pics!

Brandi Carlile and John Prine were two of the major winners at the 2019 Americana Honors & Awards ceremony on Wednesday (Sept. 11). Carlile won the night's highest honor, Artist of the Year, while Prine took home the Album of the Year and Song of the Year trophies.

Also during the ceremony, I'm With Her earned Duo / Group of the Year, and Punch Brothers member Chris Eldridge received Instrumentalist of the Year; the War and Treaty won Emerging Act of the Year, besting the rest of an incredibly stacked category. A full winners and nominees list is below.

Throughout the 2019 Americana Music Awards ceremony, captivating performances entertained the audience in the Ryman Auditorium and listening at home. Mumford & Sons collaborated with the Milk Carton Kids, and John Prine and Bonnie Raitt got together for a rendition of "Angel From Montgomery," which Prine wrote and both artists have recorded.
