LeAnn Rimes Congratulates Ex-Husband on His Engagement

LeAnn Rimes' ex-husband, Dean Sheremet is set to give marriage another go. People magazine confirms that Dean popped the question to his live-in photographer girlfriend, Sarah Silver, last week in New York, where the couple resides.

Over the weekend, LeAnn took to her Twitter page to offer the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Sheremet her best wishes. "Congrats to @deansheremet and @sarah_silver on your engagement! A little birdie told me the happy news last night," she wrote. "Wishes for a life full of happiness."

After receiving responses doubting her sincerity, LeAnn replied, "My congrats is from my heart. Sorry if you don't understand it. I do not need the publicity, I get plenty. Please stop passing [judgment]."

LeAnn and Dean were married for seven years prior to splitting last year after the singer met actor Eddie Cibrian. The two struck up a relationship -- both while married -- while filming their made-for-TV movie, 'Northern Lights.' Both LeAnn and Eddie filed for divorce from their former spouses and they now reside at LeAnn's home in the Los Angeles area.

Earlier this month, publications were buzzing that LeAnn and Eddie were engaged, but the singer quickly shot down those rumors saying, "Eddie and I are beyond happy and in love and look forward to one day sharing such private news with you all. Hopefully will be able to enjoy it privately and share it with our family and friend's before the world knows."

In other LeAnn news, she has released a new tune to country radio, 'Crazy Women.' The song is the second single from her forthcoming 'Lady and Gentleman' album which she anticipates will be released in the first part of 2011.
