Zac Brown isn't just the leader of the multi-platinum Zac Brown Band, he's also a top-flight chef, a double Grammy winner and the head of his very own record label. And it's his Southern Ground imprint that's about to pull double duty. On April 21, during which 350 independent record shops across the country will celebrate Record Store Day, Southern Ground will issue 'Southern Ground Artists Compilation, Vol. 2,' further spotlighting the acts on the eclectic indie label.

The eight-song collection features tracks from the Wood Brothers, Nic Cowan, Dugas, Levi Lowrey, Sonia Leigh, the Wheeler Boys and Blackberry Smoke. It closes with a live rendition of the Zac Brown Band's 'No Hurry,' which is the group's latest Top 20 hit on the country chart.

"I've seen all of them many times, and they're not just good, they are great," Zac told The Boot of the acts on his label. "They write their own music, play and perform well and know the road. To be a Southern Ground artist, you have to be a lifer. It's not about winning a karaoke contest or a television show to become famous. It's about really paying your dues. It's people I'm fans of and want to help in the business. It's our music family, our own musical movement."

The new compilation will also be available in Las Vegas during the ACM Fan Jam, which will be hosted by ZBB and runs from March 30-April 1.

During ACM Week, Blackberry Smoke will perform in Las Vegas at Lynyrd Skynyrd's BBQ & Beer (March 31). Blackberry Smoke, Sonia Leigh and Levi Lowrey are also all slated to perform during Fan Jam.
