The Zac Brown Band spent last week in sunny Mexico, filming the video for their latest single 'Knee Deep,' featuring Jimmy Buffett. The video was shot in and around the Costa Careyes Resort, May 17-20, and includes scenes on a private beach, in the pool area and, appropriately, under a coconut tree.

While South of the border, Zac soaked up the resorts amenities with his wife Shelly and four daughters. The singer even impressed the girls by splitting open a coconut and by giving 2-year-old Lucy the bird's eye view by carrying her around on his shoulders. Zac even pulled out his new beach-themed Taylor guitar (pictured above) to play a few tunes.

Even though Zac fit right in down South, the singer always has Georgia on his mind.

"I'd like to think there's a movement coming out of Atlanta that's like [Memphis-based soul label] Stax was, back in the '60s," Zac told Nashville's Tennessean newspaper in regards to opening his Southern Ground artists record label. "The Wood Brothers are one of the best live bands you'll ever see, and we just got Sonia Leigh's record finished, and I'm super proud of it. There's Blackberry Smoke coming on board, and Nic Cowan and Levi Lowrey, and all the people that love our music will love their music, too, I feel confident."

Zac has been lending a hand to the new artists, co-writing and singing on Sonia's tune, 'Roaming,' while Blackberry Smoke can be found on tour with the Zac Brown Band this summer. In addition, ZBB's Clay Cook is featured in the Wood Brothers' video for 'Shoofly Pie.' Although, that door swings both ways with Levi Lowrey sharing writing credit on the band's recent No. 1 'Colder Weather.' Hear samples of all Southern Ground Artists' music here.
