Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum are just a few of the country acts nominated for a 2012 World Music Award. The global entertainers join a star-studded list of artists from across the popular music spectrum to have received nods in the internal competition, including fellow country acts Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, the Zac Brown Band and Miranda Lambert.

Jason leads the pack of country nominees with six nods, including Best Male Artist and Best Live Act. Carrie and Taylor are close behind with five, with both also vying for Best Female Artist, Best Video, Best Song and Best Album.

Other artists nominated for multiple World Music Awards include Rihanna, who tops the entire list with nine mentions, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Adele and more. Fan-voted categories include World's Best Song, World's Best Group, World's Best Female and Male Artist and World's Best Entertainer of the Year -- a category that includes Jason, Carrie, Blake, Keith, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor.

Nominees are selected by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), to acknowledge the best-selling artists across the globe. Vote for your favorite artists here.

The awards will take place on Dec. 20 at Marlins Park Stadium in Miami, and will be broadcast to more than 160 countries, with an estimated one billion viewers tuning in. Tickets for the ceremony are available for purchase here.
