With Vince Gill, Paul Simon, Emmylou Harris, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley all performing at the All for the Hall benefit concert in New York City on Tuesday night (Oct. 6), there were bound to be some jaw-dropping collaborations -- but none can compare to Gill and Simon covering the Everly Brothers' 1960 hit, "When Will I Be Loved."

The two hitmakers traded verses during their cover, with all of the evening's performers joining them for the chorus. Press play on the video above to watch the performance of the hit tune, which was covered by Linda Ronstadt in 1975 as well.

Other highlights of the sold-out NYC show included Paisley and Underwood singing "Remind Me," Gill's version of "Go Rest High on That Mountain," Simon's "The Sound of Silence" and "The Boxer" and Harris' "The Ship on His Arm," among others.

All for the Hall, which began in 2005, has featured Gill and Harris each year. They are always joined by several other artists; in the past, Jason Aldean, Gregg Allman, Zac Brown, Sheryl Crow, Taylor Swift, Dwight Yoakam and others have participated. The show alternates each year between New York City and Los Angeles, with a Nashville-based All for the Hall event held annually as well.

"“The magic of these nights is the diversity that winds up onstage," Gill says of the event. "It’s not just about hits and what’s going on in country music at the moment. It’s so healthy that we’re open-minded and welcome to all things.”

All for the Hall New York 2015 raised more than $150,000 for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s education department.
