It's been a big week for Thompson Square. The award-winning duo, made up of husband and wife Keifer and Shawna Thompson, released their brand-new single, 'Testing the Water,' from their 'Just Feels Good' album, and also landed at the top of the Australian chart with their previous single, 'Everything I Shouldn't Be Thinking About.'

“We feel very honored to be a part of Australian country music history,” Keifer says. “We just left Australia and fell in love with it. This makes it even better. A huge thanks for country radio and all of our fans down under. Hope we get to see you again soon. “

The news comes on the heels of their international 2014 Just Feels Good Tour, which played before military bases and fans in both Australia and Asia. The tour, which marks their first trek as the headlining act, also has plenty of dates in the United States, keeping them on the road for much of the year.

“I don’t think we’ve been this pumped since we’ve been in Nashville,” Keifer says of their tour. “We’ve had some great opportunities over the past couple of years to be on three major tours. Each tour was amazing and we’re grateful to have been a part of them all, but this year we just want to do our own thing and get back to a one show, one band and one great crowd kind of mind set.”

'If I Didn't Have You,' which was the lead single from 'Just Feels Good,' soared to the top of the charts, making it the duo's second No. 1 hit. But the pair will soon have a new set of tunes to play in their live show. They announced last month that they were already at work on a new album.

“It’s a very painstaking process that we take very seriously, so it’s something we want to get out as much as we can,” Keifer explains. ‘I think in November we will go in and test the waters with that to see what’s happening … start cutting slowly and take our time with it.”

The hitmakers will head to Illinois, Louisiana and Washington over the next few weeks. See all of their upcoming shows here.
