Steel Magnolia are off to a strong start on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, finishing their debut week at the No. 3 position. The duo of Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones, who premiered their album for a New York audience at the Bowery Ballroom on the day the disc was released (1/1/11), came within just a few hundred copies of overtaking the week's No. 2 album, the 'Country Strong' soundtrack, which moves from No. 3 to No. 2.

Taylor Swift holds on to the No. 1 spot on the country chart this week but has dropped from No. 1 to No. 3 on the Billboard 200, with new discs from Cake and Cage the Elephant at No. 1 and 2 on that survey, respectively. 'Country Strong' sits at No. 6 on the multi-genre list, with Steel Magnolia at No. 7.

While Taylor's 'Back to December' retains the No. 1 position on the Top Country Digital Tracks chart, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson are closing in at No. 2 with 'Don't You Wanna Stay,' which was No. 5 last week. Kenny Chesney's 'Somewhere With You' is also inching its way toward the top spot, moving from No. 4 to No. 3.

The one to watch, however, when it comes to digital tracks, is Darius Rucker's latest, 'Together, Anything's Possible.' The hot new single rolls on to the chart at No. 15 in its first week.
