Sons of Sylvia Have a ‘Revelation’ for Fans
Austin, Ashley and Adam Clark, now known professionally as Sons of Sylvia, were the 2007 winners of TV's 'The Next Great American Band' talent competition. Known as The Clark Brothers while competing on the talent show, the trio have spent the past few years writing and working in the studio. Their album, 'Revelation,' is out this week on 19 Recordings/Interscope Records.
Sons of Sylvia will perform the album's debut single, 'Love Left to Lose,' tonight (Apr. 28) on 'American Idol.' The song was written by Ashley and the band's cousin, Ryan Tedder. A music video will accompany the single in the next few weeks.
While they may be new to some country fans, Ashley, Adam and Austin are no strangers to country music. In 2000, they toured with three of their other brothers -- Alan, Aaron and Andrew -- as The Clark Family Experience. After disbanding, Ashley linked up with Carrie Underwood where he played fiddle and sang background vocals for her, while Austin and Adam toured with another family act, SHeDAISY.
Sons of Sylvia are currently on the road with Carrie, opening shows on her Play On tour.
