'American Idol' winner Scotty McCreery continues to ride a big wave of success, as his debut album, 'Clear as Day,' remains at the top of the country albums chart this week, despite continued threats from fellow artists. Scotty held off Taylor Swift's brand-new 'Speak Now World Tour Live' CD/DVD set, Grammy-nominated the Band Perry's eponymous debut and multi-Grammy winners' Lady Antebellum with their latest, 'Own the Night,' to take the No. 1 spot once again this week. Total sales of Scotty's now two-month-old CD exceed 587,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan data.

Scotty recently told The Boot that 'Clear as Day' would be a true mission statement, and a clear image of who he is as both a person and an artist. "The songs just had to be right. There were some songs pitched my way that were trying to get on this album, but I wasn't really feeling them," he explained. "I had to have a song I could believe in and not fake in the recording studio or on stage. I had to stick to my guns about it."

Perseverance is certainly paying off for the 18-year-old baritone. 'Clear as Day' remains within the top 10 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, with Taylor Swift's new live album at No. 11. Topping that chart this week is Michael Bublé's new 'Christmas' album, which features a duet with Shania Twain.
