Miranda Lambert took a few weeks off the road for doctor-ordered vocal rest, but the "Fastest Girl in Town" stayed busy, finding homes for six puppies she rescued from outside a daycare facility in Oklahoma earlier this month. The animal advocate named the seven-week-old German short-haired pointers Conway, Jackson Brown, Cabella, Bentley, Whitley and Ms. Danks, and sought out permanent homes for them through her own MuttNation Foundation.

"Just dropped the last puppy with her new family in Jersey," Miranda tweeted on Monday (July 23) with a photo of the pooch and her new family. "Bye bye (Ms.Danks) Lilly!"

Miranda encourages dog lovers everywhere to consider taking in an abandoned animal. "If you weren't able to get one of these sweet angels ... please visit your local shelter!" she later tweeted. "Don't forget ... love a shelter pet! Y'all rock!"

The proud owner of nine dogs in the home she shares with husband Blake Shelton, Miranda recently hosted her fifth annual Cause for the Paws event, which raised more than $207,000 for MuttNation Foundation. Find out more about MuttNation here.

Miranda will continue her On Fire tour tomorrow night (July 26) in Verona, New York. Keep track of her tour dates here.
