"The Maverick" Mikel Knight is sharing a music video for his new song "Good Ol' Boys" exclusively with readers of The Boot.

The urban cowboy tune was inspired by Waylon Jennings' Dukes of Hazzard theme song, and fans will recognize Knight's version as a remix of the classic, featuring its story-driven lyrics over modern beats that will get country fans' hearts pumping and toes a-tapping.

"Good Ol' Boys" is a promotional single for WGN America's upcoming docuseries Outlaw Country, which chronicles a feud happening in Buckner, Mo., between two sets of brothers. Mike and Steve Cook -- who are, respectively, chief of police and the Buckner Criminal Task Force liaison -- allege that John and Josh Monk are behind the town's uptick in criminal happenings, but the Monks swear by their innocence. Outlaw Country will give viewers full access to the police force and the Monk brothers' camp, offering insight into crime in Buckner from both sides.

The documentary crew used drones and hidden cameras, in addition to traditional documentary techniques, to obtain the footage used to tell their story, and Knight's music video, with plenty of police chases, fights, bar scenes, jail visits, suspicious handoffs and more, is a sneak peek into what will be happening during the one-hour special. The show premieres on Feb. 24 at 10PM ET.

Knight's forthcoming record Denim & Chrome will drop on April 15; it's the followup album to his Where the City Meets the Country disc, released in March of 2014. Fans can pre-order Denim & Chrome here.
