Little Big Town’s ‘Tornado’ Goes Platinum

Little Big Town's latest album, 'Tornado,' has been certified platinum, signifying sales of one million units. The 2012 project, which soared to the top of the charts, includes the Grammy-winning tune 'Pontoon,' as well as their current single, 'Your Side of the Bed.' Its title track was also a hit.

The news is only part of what is turning out to be a memorable year for the group. In addition to winning several awards, including their first Daytime Emmy, they launched their own headlining tour, and will head out on the road with Keith Urban's Light the Fuse trek, which kicks off Thursday (July 18). But the foursome aren't taking their success lightly.

"'Elated' is a word that comes to mind," singer Phillip Sweet tells Zap2it. "To see this momentum grow and grow, and to see the fans connect to something in the songs, I think that's all you ever want as a musician."
