Little Big Town are heading to 'The Voice.' The quartet will join Blake Shelton's Team Blake as advisers for the show's seventh season, and it sounds like it was all the group's idea!

"We begged and begged and cornered him!" Karen Fairchild tells Access Hollywood.

"It's a huge honor," Kimberly Schlapman adds. "We love the show. We have always watched it."

Not that Shelton is complaining. The singer, who has been on the show since it began, has used Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, Cher and his own wife, Miranda Lambert, as advisers, among others, but says he thinks LBT will bring something new and fresh to the reality TV talent show.

"There is gonna be an entire new audience who is gonna find out [who] these people are which is -- they need to know who they are," Shelton says. "It's the same thing that happened to me when I started doing this show as a country artist. We don't get that many opportunities to be on television, and [when] we do we got to make the most of it, and I am excited for a lot of people to find out who Little Big Town is."

The Oklahoma native adds that he is excited for the new opportunities the 'Day Drinking' singers will gain from the TV exposure.

"I mean, if you are a country music fan you already love them, but if you are not necessarily someone who listens to country radio all the time, you are gonna find out who they are and it's gonna be a big deal," he notes.

Season 7 of 'The Voice' will kick off on Sept. 27, with Adam Levine joining Blake Shelton as a coach, along with newcomers Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani. The show will air Monday and Tuesday nights at 8PM ET.

Little Big Town's upcoming album, 'Pain Killer,' will be released on Oct. 21.
