Kip Moore has reason to celebrate. Tuesday’s (Sept. 10) announcement of the nominations for this year's Country Music Association Awards left Moore with a nod for the New Artist of the Year award.

The CMA announcement came on the heels of Moore’s third No. 1 hit from his debut album, ‘Up All Night.’ The album was the top-selling debut country record of 2012.

"It's been a long road. I think back on the thousands of hours of songwriting and hundreds of thousands of miles we've logged on the road…I wouldn't trade any of that for the quick and easy route. I've learned so much, and I'm truly honored to be up for the CMA's New Artist of the Year Award," Moore says in a press release. "I have to admit…this is also a little extra inspiration for us as we finish up the next album!"

After spending 2013 touring with Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert and Toby Keith, Moore is set to join Lady Antebellum in November for their Take Me Downtown Tour. For more information on the upcoming tour, click here.
